IEEE MTT-S UOP SBC Annual General Meeting 2023

The eighth Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Student Branch Chapter at the University of Peradeniya took place on March 31, 2023, in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering seminar room. Ms. Nethmi Sathsarani, the outgoing chair, initiated the meeting by expressing gratitude for the support received during the past term.

The AGM covered the approval of the 2022 meeting minutes, the presentation and endorsement of the Annual Financial Report and Activity Report for 2022, and the appointment of new office bearers for the upcoming term of 2023. The newly elected chair, Mr. Ruwinda Nanayakkara, proposed Prof. Aruna Gunawardana to continue as advisor and senior treasurer, which was accepted.

Prof. Aruna Gunawardana addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of Microwaves. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Chalani Munasinghe, the newly appointed Secretary for the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Student Branch Chapter at the University of Peradeniya.
