Sat Cap: the chapter’s first antenna workshop
Webinar workshops on crossed-dipole and linear antennas with Eng. Tharindu Dayarathne, creator of Raavana-1 — Sri Lanka’s first CubeSat.

The first-ever Antenna Workshop organised by the IEEE MTT-S Student Branch Chapter was a significant milestone for the chapter and the university — bringing together students, academics and industry professionals to explore antenna design and technology.
The introduction seminar was held on 12 April 2022 with guest speaker Prof. Aruna Gunawardana from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Webinar workshops on crossed-dipole and linear antennas followed, led by Eng. Tharindu Dayarathne — a graduate of the department, creator of Sri Lanka’s first CubeSat Raavana-1 and a Research Engineer at the Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies.
